I am trying to confirm that my IP update client ( I am using ddclient) is working correctly. On the Dynamic DNS Service Control Panel on the website the "Last Update" field has not changed since the initial launch of the update service, even if I restart the service. Does this field truly report the "Last Update" done by the client, or does it only change when the IP address actually changes, so that it's more like "Last Change". If this field does not change unless the IP address changes, how can I confirm that ddclient is functioning without changing my IP address?
