Topic: Repeated email connection problems
Hi,
For weeks now I have had email trouble from multiple machines. My email client decides to not connect or can not login to the email server. I change nothing and then it will decide to connect (webmail is working). Then later it will go offline again. Internet is working I think I can not login to email. If I try to update settings in the email client I get an error "Unable to verify account name or password".
I've reported this to you a couple of time over the last month, but this keeps reoccurring. I notice that the mail addresses for imap and smtp have changed a couple of time over the last few weeks in my DYNU email control panel. Using these new settings does not help resolve my connection problems.
I am using Apple Mail. Settings are:
Incoming
imap.dynu.com
port 993
Use TLS/SSL
Out
smtp.dynu.com
port 25
I am using password authentication same for both.
Regards,
Mark

I had a similar experience. I believe DYNU changed the IMAP, POP, and SMTP URLs slightly such that the new addresses include your domain name. I found my updated addresses when I clicked on the Email Services for my domain in the Dynu Control Panel. Once I changed the email clients to the new SMTP and POP addresses, everything worked again.
BTW - in my case I also had to update the MX record, DKIM record, and SPF record in my DDNS profile.
Not sure if this potential solution addresses your problem, but I suspect it is worth your time to see if updating the SMTP and IMAP/POP URLs fixes your problem.
