Topic: DNS A record not updating
I have moved one of my sites (myneighborstree.com) from my own sever to a google-hosted site. Accordingly, I have set up:CNAME for www.myneighborstree.com to point to ghs.googlehosted.comRedirect from myneighborstree.com to www.myneighborstree.comThis works for https://www.myneighborstree.com and http://myneighborstree.combut not https://myneighborstree.com.This is because an SSL certificate is required for https redirects, so I need to continue running my old server (and renewing certificates) so I can redirect https://myneighborstree.com to https://www.myneighborstree.com with a rule in haproxy. But the A record of myneighborstree.com no longer points to my server. In my exploration of the issue, I had tried changing the A record of myneighborstree.com to point to the IP of ghs.googlehosted.com. It didn't work, but now I can't update the address anymore. That is, I can set a new IP address, but it doesn't propagate. On the "Current DNS Status" page it points to dynu itself (162.216.242.206), which is not any address that I have directed it to do.Is this some kind of security lockout that results from too frequent changing of IP address? How do I get it working again?
