Topic: Setting up ddns on own domain
Hi, I have two domains registered at freenom.com. I wanted to try ddns with the first one so I changed nameservers on freenome control panel to ns#.dynu.com. I also added aliases, here on dynu. In my router config I set custom ddns host, provided URL https://api.dynu.com/nic/update?username=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD etc etc... Have I missed something? Because my domain is not working now. I'm waiting second day for propagation. Will this always be that long after IP change?

Your domain name will be updated right away if there is an IP change. However, your problem is the name servers for your domain name have not been changed or propagated. It may take up to 48 hours for nameserver changes to fully propagate. You should check your nameserver settings at your current registrar to make sure that only the following Dynu name servers are listed:NS1.DYNU.COMNS2.DYNU.COMNS3.DYNU.COMNS4.DYNU.COMNS5.DYNU.COM

Hello,I would have a supplementary question: I want to have only a subdomain dynamically managed, for example sub.example.com while the example.com should be handled as it was before. In this case should I add your DNS servers to the existing ones by my registar? will this solve the issue?thank you!
