Topic: trying to get custom ddns to work on a QNAP NAS
Hello,Based on the similarities suggested for Synology NAS, I've tried to setup a customized DDNS entry for your service however, So far, I've not been able to get it to work.I've attached screenshot example for the configuration for the customized setup (with credentials removed for confidentiality)I am only getting message notification that the update failed Do you have recommendations on settings based on information which I followed from your reference in Synology NAS which is very much similar device.https://www.dynu.com/DynamicDNS/IPUpdateClient/SynologyNASThanksJean Guy

Hi everyone,After talking with their support we found out that its necessary to port forward port 8080 to the Qnap NAS or the web comunication port that you have setup in the NAS settings. Its actually strange that it's necessary to port forward when the communication is from within our local network to the outside. I've questioned them about this.Nevertheless it works like this. I'm considering changing the default port just for safety.Hope it works for you.
