How do I use my own subdomain with your DDNS service? How do I use my own subdo...

Question: I have mydomain.com and it is registered with Godaddy. I want to use ddns.mydomain.com with your dynamic DNS service. How could this be achieved?

Using your ddns.mydomain.com requires that you first sign up for ddns.domain.com for DDNS service using Option 2. Then you need to point the name servers for ddns.domain.com at your domain registrar to the below Dynu name servers:

NS1.DYNU.COM
NS2.DYNU.COM
NS3.DYNU.COM
NS4.DYNU.COM
NS5.DYNU.COM
NS6.DYNU.COM

The tricky part is that not all registrars support custom name servers for subdomains. If your registrar does not support it, you can sign up for a Dynu provided subdomain such as name.ddnsfree.com for DDNS service using Optin 1. Then you can set up a CNAME record to point ddns.domain.com to name.ddnsfree.com at your current DNS service provider/domain registrar.
